Our first Memorial is for a brave young man taken from us way too soon. If anyone could forward a picture, it would be greatly appreciated.
Charles Warren Neisz, Jr.
This brave young man was killed on 19 Aug 1967 from wounds suffered in combat in Viet Nam. He died from "hostile fire" while on patrol at Quangpri. He was only 19 years old.
He enlisted in the Marines to do duty for his country. He received his training at Parris Island, S. C. and shortly sent to Viet Nam. He was buried with full military honors in Richmond National Cemetery, in Richmond, VA.
Over 40 years have gone but he is still remembered. I never met this relative but he is constantly with me. I was on duty myself in Viet Nam on the date that he suffered his fatal wounds. I was lucky.
